KontoVexa was built to make invoicing and accounting easier for freelancers, the self-employed and small businesses in Germany.
Since September 2026, KontoVexa has been available as a web-based platform, and it is continuously being developed further.

The beginning
Registration of the domain kontelio.de and public launch of the website and the app.

The first users
The first external customers signed up on the Kontelio platform.

ELSTER integration
ELSTER assigned KontoVexa a product-specific vendor ID (HerstellerID).

Kontelio is now called KontoVexa. The website is available at kontovexa.de; all previous addresses redirect there.
Our mission
KontoVexa aims to make running a business, accounting and e-invoicing simple – modern, easy to understand and multilingual.
- Create invoices and e-invoices (ZUGFeRD, XRechnung) and send them by e-mail
- Capture receipts as a photo or PDF and book them as expenses
- Prepare the EÜR and the VAT return (Umsatzsteuer-Voranmeldung) from your own bookings and send them to ELSTER
- Use KontoVexa in 9 languages: German, English, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, Turkish, Arabic, Polish and French
